Introduction to 1m Small Disc Granulator

1. Overview  

     The 1m small disc granulator (Φ1000mm Disc Granulator) is a widely used granulation equipment in fertilizer, feed, and chemical industries. It agglomerates powdered materials into granules through a rotating disc, featuring simple structure, easy operation, and strong adaptability, making it particularly suitable for small to medium-scale production needs.  

2. Structural Composition

Granulation Disc: 1m in diameter, adjustable tilt angle (35°~55°), adjustable rotation speed (10~30 rpm), with optional carbon steel rubber-lined or stainless steel material.  

Drive Unit: Includes motor and reducer to control disc rotation.  

Spray System: Sprays water or binder to promote material granulation.  

Scraper Device: Prevents material from sticking to the disc bottom, ensuring uniform granulation.  

Frame: Supports the entire equipment for stable operation.  

3. Working Principle

1. Feeding: Powdered material is evenly fed from the top of the disc.  

2. Wetting: The spray system mists liquid (water or binder) to moisten the material.  

3. Granulation: As the disc rotates, the material rolls and agglomerates under centrifugal force, friction, and gravity, gradually forming granules.  

4. Discharge: Once the desired particle size (1~5mm) is reached, the granules are discharged from the disc edge for subsequent drying or screening processes.  

4. Applications

Compound Fertilizer: Granulation of NPK, BB fertilizer powders.  

Organic Fertilizer: Granulation of livestock manure, straw fermentation materials.  

Chemical Industry: Granulation of mineral powders, catalysts, ceramic powders.  

Feed Processing: Pelletizing powdered feed.  

5. Precautions

Moisture Control: Spray volume must be moderate—excessive liquid causes clumping, while insufficient liquid hinders granulation.  

Equipment Maintenance: Clean residual material promptly after shutdown to prevent corrosion or scaling.  

Safe Operation: Do not touch rotating parts during operation, and ensure protective devices are intact.
