The Rotary Drum Granulator is a specialized forming machine designed to transform materials into specific shapes. As a key equipment in the compound fertilizer industry, it is suitable for both cold and hot granulation processes, supporting large-scale production of high, medium, and low concentration compound fertilizers.
The primary working method involves wet pelletizing of aggregates. Through the addition of water or steam, basic ingredients undergo sufficient chemical reactions within the drum, with extrusion forces between particles causing them to agglomerate into spherical shapes.
The cylindrical body of this machine utilizes special rubber lining or acid-proof stainless steel lining plates, achieving automatic scar and tumor removal while eliminating the need for traditional scraper units.
This advanced design delivers high ball forming strength, superior appearance quality, excellent corrosion and wear resistance, reduced energy consumption, extended service life, and simplified operation and maintenance procedures.
The granulator employs high-speed rotating mechanical shearing forces combined with generated air power to continuously implement mixing, granulating, spheroidizing, and densification processes for fine powder materials.
This process produces spherical particles with a sphericity of 0.7 or higher, typically ranging between 0.3-3 mm in size. The granulation rate exceeds 90%, with particle diameter adjustable based on mixture quantity and spindle speed parameters.
